Lincoln University
of Missouri is a Historically Black College/University (HBCU)
in Jefferson City, Missouri, which offers comprehensive services
to a diverse body of traditional and non-traditional students
with a broad range of academic preparation and skills.
They are committed
to providing quality education and living/learning opportunities
that are unique and beneficial to all students. LU is dedicated
to offering a variety of undergraduate programs, grounded in the
liberal arts and sciences, and graduate programs in selected disciplines
that prepare students for success in careers and lifelong learning.
The University
is organized into three colleges and one school of instruction:
the College of Business and Professional Studies, the College
of Liberal Arts, Education and Journalism, the College of Natural
Sciences, Mathematics and Technology, and the School of Graduate
Studies and Continuing Education.
Lincoln University
is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association. The teacher education programs are accredited by
the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. All
teacher education programs are approved by the Missouri Department
of Elementary and Secondary Education. The music program is accredited
by the National Association of Schools of Music. All programs
within the Department of Business and Economics are accredited
by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
The associate of applied science in nursing program is approved
by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Both the associate of
applied science in nursing and the bachelor of science in nursing
programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting
Commission.
