An Engineering Degree
Engineering
is a broad-based major with many specialties. Students learn how
to apply mathematical and scientific principles to a variety of
practical problems.
Engineers
work in a wide variety of areas, including industry, organization,
public works, and commerce. Students generally choose a specific
major to study such as chemical engineering, computer engineering,
engineering mechanics, and mechanical engineering.
The
foundation of engineering is based in mathematics, but engineering
specialties must concentrate on specific areas, including computer
