Education
is Freedom (EIF) is a nonprofit organization designed to eliminate
the barriers to higher education and promote equality of opportunity
in college attendance.
Provides
college scholarships to high school seniors that are U.S. resident
for one year at time of application. Applicants must also be
current U.S. high school senior and have a GPA of 3.0 to 3.5
(4.0 scale).
In
addition, applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate
course of study at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university.
Selection
is based on financial need, work history, activities/leadership,
and candidate appraisal. Scholarship awards are renewable up
to 3 years for completion of an undergraduate degree.
