Tavis
Smiley Foundation Scholars Program
The
Tavis Smiley Foundation is the premiere leadership training
and development program for African American youth.
The
program seeks to identify students who will make a significant
contribution to their community. As part of its commitment to
education and youth, the Tavis Smiley Foundation has provided
scholarship awards to high school and college students who have
participated in its signature programs since 2001.
To
date, the foundation has awarded thousands in scholarships to
57 students. Recipients have attended a range of universities
and colleges, including Yale, Xavier, Howard and Bowie State
universities and Morehouse College.
