HBCU Study Abroad Scholarships With more than 80 programs in 31 cities, IES Abroad is dedicated to broadening their global reach and continuing their commitment to offering students outstanding academic options coupled with every-day opportunities for cultural immersion. IES is committed to providing opportunities for students of color who have been traditionally under-represented on study abroad programs. As part of this effort, special scholarships and financial aid are available and we encourage all students who qualify to apply for this assistance. A guaranteed $2,000 scholarship will be awarded as follows: $1,500 credit toward the IES program fee; PLUS $500 toward the purchase of an overseas airline ticket for the IES program (upon receipt of a valid, overseas airline ticket receipt).
