Association
For Women In Science Internships
The
Association for Women in Science (AWIS) National Office has paid
internships available year-round, each lasting 2-4 months.
In
the past, interns have acted as the AWIS liaison to the National
Coalition for Women and Girls in Education, attended hearings
and followed judicial decisions, composed AWIS press releases,
worked on public relations, set up cataloging systems for AWIS
resources, written for the bimonthly AWIS Magazine, assisted with
membership activities, worked on grants, fulfilled information
requests, and much more!
AWIS
interns are a vital part of the National Office operations. Our
interns are invaluable to the organization, and we strive to make
your experiences with AWIS equally valuable to your own career/
leadership development.
Interns
must be personable, self-driven, and a self-starter. Also, must
require a sense of mission for equal rights for women.
